Camping Rules |
| Our philosophy is "leave
only foot prints, take only memories". As most of you know, the
City of Fredericksburg owns most of the land along the River, especially
the areas used for camping. This continued privilege is in your hands.
Violations of the following laws could bring about NO CAMPING on the River.
The key is bring back your own trash as well as trash you find along
the way. (Please don't take anything in glass containers)AND BURY
YOUR NATURE CALLS ALONG WITH THE TOILET PAPER. The following is a
very short version of the laws governing the river and its banks.
ATV's are expressly prohibited on City owned property. What properties does the city own? About 98% of all land on both sides of the river from Eleys Ford to Clore Bros (14 miles) and from the camp site at Deep Run on the Rappahannock River to Clore Bros (11 miles) Obviously this area covers just about all of the camp sites. Please try to pin point ATV activity along the river as well as tree cutting and let us know about it so we can pass this on to the proper people. The city's land manager is monitoring campsites and river accesses on a regular basis and is determined to bring to justice, violators of these laws CAMP
